Winnipeg Blue Bombers Merchbot!

June 19, 2025 | Announcements, News

Vidir is proud to unveil the latest evolution of fan engagement at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ home opener. The Merchandise Vending Machine, known as the MerchBot at Princess Auto Stadium, is an automated retail solution that secures and dispenses inventory in a compact space, maximizing sales. Beginning June 12, 2025, Bombers supporters can experience a faster way to pick up branded jerseys, caps, and more with the tap of a button. In less than 30 seconds, the Merchandise Vending Machine retrieves and delivers the gear right to the fan in the concourse.

Since our founding in 1979 in Arborg, Manitoba, Vidir has championed innovation in automated storage and retrieval systems. What started as a small machine shop has grown into a global solutions provider, designing and manufacturing everything from vertical lift modules to custom retail and display solutions, all engineered in Manitoba, Canada. The MerchBot leverages proven technology of the Vertical Lift Module (VLM), ensuring that storage density is maximized within any given footprint up to 30 feet high.

This deployment is more than a convenience for Bombers fans; it’s a showcase of how Vidir’s solutions can be tailored to virtually any environment. From stadiums and retail outlets to pharmaceutical warehouses, our machines bring inventory, transactions, and fulfilment together in one seamless workflow.

This announcement is based on “Blue Bombers’ new automated ‘merchbot’ has deep Manitoba roots” by Sam Thompson, Global News, June 12, 2025.
